Nizamabad Charan Paduka Gurudwara

The Charan Paduka Gurudara was established at Nizamabad is known for its culture and heritage. Worship is done here by Sikh community. This place was visited by Shri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji during his first journey from Ayodhya to Banaras and Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji during his journey from Patna to Punjab in 1670. Guru Nanak and Guru Tegh Bahadur both left their footprints here as a mark of their journey.
The place where Guru Tegh Bahadur prayed to God is called Akal Banga. According to epic, there is a well, bathing with the well water and chanting Guru’s name removes one’s sorrows. On the other side of the Tamsa river there was a dry land, which became evergreen by the touch of the Guru’s feet, after which it became famous as Anandbagh.
Apart from Charan Paduka, there are twenty-five old handwritten copies of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and six old handwritten copies of Dasham Granth Sahib Ji, as well as many ancient weapons like swords, shields, spears, guns are preserved here.
