Dattatreya Ashram
The temple of sage Dattatreya is situated at the confluence of Tamsa and Kunwar rivers. A fair is organized here every year on the day of Shivratri, in which there is a huge crowd of devotees. Dattatreya Jayanti is celebrated all over the country on the full moon day of the month of Margashirsha (Agrahayana) according to the Hindu calendar. Dattatreya was the son of sage Atri and his wife Anusuiya. Sage Dattatreya is believed to be the form of three deities – Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The special thing is that in Satyuga, when there was no dearth of trees and water sources, Even then they provided education on water and environmental conservation and philanthropy, along with religious work. Sage Dattatreya was also a master of Aghor Vidya along with Saint Vidya.
Tourism development works have been done with a view to increase the number of tourists visiting Rishi Dattatreya Ashram.
