The ancient temple of Bhairav Baba is the center of faith and reverence. Every year a week-long fair is organized here on Ganga Dussehra of Jyestha month, in which devotees across the city come to visit the fair and Bhairav Baba. According to belief, Kaal Bhairav sat here facing south after destroying the Yagya of King Daksha Prajapati on the orders of Lord Shiva. Devotees from different districts come here for other traditional rituals like Mundan and Janeu Sanskar. According to mythology, the origin of Bhairav Baba temple is also mentioned in Epics and Vedas.
